Interior Trends to Look Out for in 2020

Into the Blue

Blue is always a popular shade for the home thanks to its psychological associations with calmness and tranquillity, but we’re expecting to see even more of it this year.

Pantone’s 2020 Colour of the Year has been announced as Classic Blue; a timeless and elegant calming blue hue that will no doubt prove popular across both interiors and fashion.

We are really excited about Pantone’s choice of Classic Blue, this complements one of our latest ranges, Urbanite. This modern range features demanding statement pieces full of rich moody tones, striking linear silhouettes and softer curves, which bring deserved attention to each piece.

Another shade of blue that’s set to be big this year, according to the trend forecaster WGSN, is Neo Mint. A mix of traditional mint and soft turquoise, WGSN describes the colour as “an oxygenating, fresh tone that aligns science and technology with nature” and we love the look of it!

New Neutrals

Neutral shades are no longer limited to cream, grey and beige but can include all colours of the rainbow as long as they are in the right tone. Light, chalky shades work particularly well thanks to an inherent softness that helps to create calm and laid-back spaces. We love how well dusky pink and terracotta work for this type of look, especially when combined with natural wood that adds textural elements to a room.
